Henri Camara : Un doublé d'espoir

27/08

Auteur d'un doublé pour Wigan lors du match de Carling Cup face à Notts County (4-0), Henri Camara a ouvert son compteur but de la saison et surtout a regagné la confiance du coach Steve Bruce qui compte sur lui en attaque.

Henri Camara’s first goals in 20 months for Wigan Athletic on Wednesday night could rejuvenate his career at the club, according to manager Steve Bruce.

Camara spent last season on loan at West Ham and Bruce had even thought that the Senegalese player would be leaving The JJB Stadium on a free transfer.

It subsequently became apparent that the striker had another season left on his Latics contract though and Camara staked a claim for regular inclusion when scoring twice in a 4-0 Carling Cup win over Notts County.

Speaking after the easy victory for his side, Bruce left the door open for Camara to plat a prominent role for The Latics.

“I was under the impression he had left the club until I discovered he had another year on his contract,” said Bruce.

“We’ll give him a chance and I’m sure he has a part to play.”
